from "DC" our anonymous donor:
McCoy Tyner, Blues Alley, Washington DC, December 3, 1977, from the front row of tables, left, in front of the drum kit, with a Yamaha cassette recorder with manually set levels on a conventional bias BASF cassette. Made from a very mediocre master cassette, complete with channel volume drops, dull sound, and odd noises. Tyner was joined by George Adams (tenor and soprano saxes), Joe Ford (alto and soprano saxes, flute), Charles Fambrough (bass), Eric Gravatt (drums), and Guilherme Franco (percussion). The mix is unbalanced due to Gravatt's location (near the recorder) and Tyner's location (far from the recorder). The lack of high end and the occasional odd noise is due to the low quality of the recording tape itself.
