Notes: At the start of this tape McCoy Tyner announces that the preceding title was Just FeelinÕ, and the musicians and next title. Just FeelinÕ was not included on this tape. Rhythm-a-ning had another recording inserted into it somehow from 40:39 Š 41:27, during the saxophone solo. Once this was edited out, the saxophone continues with a minor blip, still the recording ends abruptly leaving the piece incomplete. Ballad for Aisha is missing the beginning. Item 6 Motherland finishes abruptly with the end of the tape.
This is a curious tape, I received it dated 4/6/94 from the US, implying 6 April 1994, at YoshiÕs, Oakland, CA. However, McCoy announces the musicians at the start of the tape, saying the preceding piece, missing from the tape, was Just FeelinÕ. The above personnel did not perform with McCoy Tyner in 1994, and together are found in his ensemble between 1983 and 1984. McCoy Tyner announces prior to Senor Carlos this was featured on his last album, which would be Looking Out, recorded in 1982. The next album was recorded during the first week of October 1983, and not released until 1984. The club MC announces upcoming shows for October 3, Linda Tillery, October 4 Dick Smith, October 5 the University of the District of Columbia Jazz Ensemble, and October 6 Š 9 Pieces of a Dream. The appearance of the University of the District of Columbia places this in Washington, and their website notes their Jazz Ensemble regularly performed at Blues Alley:

Furthermore, these dates suggest TynerÕs concert occurred between 26 September Š 2 October 1983, if he had a weekÕs residency there, probably the weekend of Saturday 1 or Sunday 2 October 1983.
