The first set of the first night of a four night run, recorded from stage left, closer to the big band than McCoy.

Almost worthy of his own credit on this recording is legendary reissue producer Michael Cuscuna. We were seated behind him and his voice shows up several times on the recording. He seemed sort of glib and obnoxious with his buddies but what do I know. I think they gave the waitress the creeps.

I think the performance is a bit more together on the late show, which I previously uploaded, but there are some real high points here, specifically every time Marcus Strickland touched the saxophone to his lips. Monster.

Enjoy my friends.
