Post-production notes: My memory is foggy when it comes to Bluebird shows, as I was usually quite inebriated, the venue being a bar and all. The source notes above indicates that this a Nak only source, but there is certainly a possibility that this is a Nak/PZM mix, I just do not remember.
Furthermore, the waveform for the 2nd set confirms that the signal across both channels appears to be straight mono, which would be understandable if this is a sbd source. The Bluebird's sound system was a mono system at the time of this recording, and I know that I plugged into the board at a few shows at the 'Bird, so this certainly could be the case. But, after listening to this show, I really think that this entire show is an audience source. I say this because I have been in the club enough times to know what it sounds like inside. The Bluebird is a small enough club that the microphones may very well have picked up identical signals...but in all honesty, this is all just hypothetical on my part. I may very likely be entirely wrong about this, as I do not really remember much about this particular night, as I saw Merle at the 'Bird several times. I AM pretty sure that I DID plug into the board a time or two, AND I was always tossing back a few cocktails when I was there......it being a bar and all. I know very little about examining waveforms using the software that our amazing editors have at their disposal, so I am hesitant to second guess their conclusions. So.... caveat emptor, or something like that. Huge thanks to BGreen and SirMick and the LMPP for their tireless work on everything they do.
