I cannot stress enough how much this recording needs to be spread around. Until Me'Shell came along I thought I knew what the term "new music" meant. She is always pushing forward and we are fortunate to see this relatively early snapshot in her career at a time when this take on Soul, Jazz and Funk fell upon the deaf ears of the "mainstream". Her albums Plantation Lullabies, Peace Beyond Passion, and Bitter were some of the final strokes of musical genius in the 20th Century. This is an artist who deserves your support. Do your part in seeding this significant recording, and please purchase Me'Shell's albums...most of all you owe it to yourself to open your ears wide and experience her newest musical explorations live. There is no substitute!
