Author's Comments:

Performed to a scant crowd in a small club in Jackson, MS, this is quintessential 70s
Meters music. The tape used for the transfer was George Porter's master SBD cassette,
which, unfortunately, had 25 years of wear on it before the digitization was performed,
and it shows in spots. There was warble at the beginning of each side of the master.
The first song of the the show (Cabbage Alley) was so distorted as to be unlistenable,
and it is omitted from this seed. The tape flip occurs after Middle Of The Road, and the
first song of side B (People Say) also suffers from some warble at the beginning
and the sound quality in general from side B of the master is less than from side A.

Even considering the sound quality warts, this is *THE* 70s Meters show to have. The segment
from Thank You through Middle Of The Road is perhaps the best 35 mins of music in my
CD collection, including Art getting pissed at a soundman and then turning it into a
dissertation on taking pride in your work. Raw, funky energy, Meters style.

Overall, I'd rate this as a B+ recording sound quality wise and an 11 on a scale of 1-10
in terms of performance.
