Transfer (June 2011): DAT > Sony PCM-R500 > (coax spdif) > Metric Halo MIO-2882 firewire interface > MacBook Pro (2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) > MIO Console 5.4.01.188 (record panel) > (48kHz split stereo files) > Bias Peak Pro 6.2.0.21692 (trimmed; converted to 44.1kHz - best-quality setting; normalized by 3 db; EQ'd (-8.8db at 2,500Hz, -11.3db at 3,700Hz, -14.7db at 8,600 and also 10,800 Hz, all with a 10Q curve), split into songs) > aiff/wav > X Audio Compression Toolkit 2.13b (level 8 compression) > flac

There was fairly significant FM static noise throughout the recording. Several notch filters were applied to reduce the squeal-like noise.

A stretch of about 4:23 of this recording was out of phase in the right channel. The flaw was repaired by inverting the channel, beginning at 3:02 into the first song (and extending up to 1:00 into the 2nd song).

DJ announcements were quite a bit louder than the rest of the recording. The announcements were reduced about 2 db, with fades in or out in some cases.

The tape flip or change occurred about 7:35 into Track 8. The gap in the recording of about 6 seconds was closed up and about 1 second of guitar solo was removed so that the splice occurs on the proper beat (there may be a few extra bars in the measure, however).

The Meters:
Art Neville
Zigaboo Modeliste
George Porter Jr.
Leo Nocentelli

(Cyril Neville does not seem to be present. Leo is present, even though he is misidentified during the band introduction, as was common (he's introduced as "Jimmy Bolero," and several band members laugh).
