A clean transfer from a low-generation cassette, with virtually no hiss, this DAT was marked "Tramps 05/19/93" but the band was at Tramps on the 14th and 15th of that year (billed as "The Meters" and confirmed by NY Magazine, see attached), and perhaps the "4" in 14 became a "9" when the tape was copied. There does not seem to have been any performance at Tramps on the 19th. If the 14th is correct, then this performance is largely uncirculated.
Assuming that there were early and late shows on the 14th, like there were on the 15th, this would probably be the late show because the Tramps MC and Art Neville each mention that the band will return the following night and it sounds like the end of the evening. But that isn't really proof.
A small discontinuity and a tape flip during Love Slip Up On Ya have been cross-faded but are still noticeable if you're paying attention. The crowd noise before the encore has been trimmed by several minutes.
Thanks to Andrei for collecting the recording, Ted Mattes for facilitating and RobbieM for help with song titles.
Enjoy!
