I don't recall if robsam was the last DIME member to upload this or just the first one. He hasn't been active here since Oct. '19 so it's tough to ask. In any case, this soundboard recording is an exact reseed.

Notes (from robsam): "Hi there! After a long and much needed break from the heat and smog of Hong Kong I'm back with yet another Michael Hedges upload. I got a bunch more Hedges audio and video to upload while I was away and here is the most recent recording I received in an online file transfer from a friend of mine. This is a soundboard recording of the 'Two Michaels' from 1983. While it's only 40 minutes long and not a complete show, what is here is great both in terms of the sound quality and the music played. I believe this recording has never been uploaded here so it will be new to most folks. There are a couple of unique things about this recording. The first and the best thing is the last song which is Michael doing a cover version of Joni Mitchell's song, 'Woodstock'. I have never heard of Hedges playing 'Woodstock' and indeed on the nomadland.com list of 'Unreleased Covers' this song isn't included. The other song that stands out to me is Michael Manring's solo which is an early version of the song 'Thunder Tactics' was released in 1986 on Manring's album 'Unusual Weather.' I've listened to this recording a few times and it's really great. I hope you like it too! I've included some mp3 samples on the comments. Please let me know what you think of this one once you get it downloaded.

Technical notes: I decided to retrack the files I received from my friend because a couple of the files had two songs in one file. I also like to seperate the talking/tuning sections from the songs themselves. My friend didn't have much lineage information. I've included the original info.txt file I received from him. I've noted what programs I used in my lineage info above. Sorry for the lack of info on this one, but I've passed on what I could figure out at least.

I hereby present to you another amazing Michael Hedges (and Michael Manring) artifact for your listening pleasure. I'd to thank the original taper for perserving this historic musical moment. Thanks also to all the other Michael Hedges fans who have taken the time to share and/or upload their Hedges audio and/or video gems from their music collections with me and the rest of the folks who enjoy Michael's music. I don't want to list names, but suffice it to say, if you're reading this then you know who you are! I really hope that those folks who have shared in the past will continue to do so now and in the future and hopefully more people with Michael Hedges music in their music collections will join in too. On that note, if you've got some Michael Hedges music that is not active on the Dime tracker now, please upload it or contact me with a pm and I will be happy to upload it for you.
Thanks again for what was shared before and what will be shared in the furure!" (Rob)
