Mick TAYLOR
With TUMBLIN’ DICE
This is a series dedicated to Mick Taylor's shows with Tumblin’ Dice.
Tumblin’ Dice is the name of the band that Mick Taylor toured with (mainly) in the South of the US in 1992 - 1993.
This group also included the legendary Bobby Keys and sometimes the late great Nicky Hopkins or (from the X-Pensive Winos) Ivan Neville in its line-up.
A big thank you to all the people who recorded these shows, to my two accomplices nzb and Jaap (Stonesmuziekfan) who gave me the benefit of their versions of these shows and their advice and support... and therefore without whom this project would not have been possible.

For this show we have 2 different recordings from the same source. Jaap’s version and mine are claimed to be from TMOQ (but I’m not too sure of that) and it’s a very good recording. But only my version is lossless.
Nzb’s one was also lossless and more complete. With a curious tuning sequence before the concert starts (playing over ‘Melissa’ from the ABB) and especially ‘Goin’ South’ being 8 minutes longer than on our version, this version is the most complete*, but unfortunately the sound is not as good as on our version.
I used my version here but completed it with nzb’s version after reworking the segments (channel equilibration and sound amplification).
I reworked the transitions between the tracks that now start with the song and I deleted micro-gaps between the tracks.
*Note a gap in the middle of “Goin’ South” (at 7’39), some seconds of music got lost (the moment where the tape was flipped?), so I added a short fade in/out.
As usual all the infos are taken from The Mick Taylor Complete Works Database by Nico Zentgraf: http://www.nzentgraf.de/books/mt/taylor1.htm
