Evenings in Aberdeen in May are quite bright, so the interior of the Festival Tent wasn't
in anyway dark. That saying, I then set up the recorder outside, taking a guess at the levels,
popped in in my pocket and hoped for the best....
I guessed wrong.
Nothing too serious, the odd pop easily removed with Soundforge, but someone must've
kicked the vol. up for 'Spirit Beautiful' & 'Very Cellular song' so to salvage them I had
to ditch the Right Channel, copying in the Left. Back to Stereo for 'Greatest Friend', 'Cousin
Caterpillar' & 'Log Cabin..'
Other than that, removed the odd cough, car sounds, door creaks etc. Turned down the
Vol. in the applause, turned it up in the quieter sections.
Left in are the Seagulls in 'Greatest Friend'.
All evening a university Photographer was hovering near/round with an industrial camera c/w
cast-iron shutters, the clicks [clunks ?] can be heard [with headphones] in most of the
quieter sections, esp. 'Painting Box'
'This Moment' was filmed, though by who and for what I don't know. The guy had a University Pass
hung around his neck anyway.
'01.intro' is a bit noisy with folk still chatting/moving in-out etc.

Well behaved audience, the 'Sold-Out' sign went up, but as I only counted 80+ seats, not exactly
Woodstock.

Andrew Greig opened the evening with Poetry Readings and one song with Banjo, I didn't tape it,
he then joined Mike & co on stage from 'Spirit Beautiful' on.
