"Womens Hour"
BBC radio broadcast
U.K.

broadcast 1983-07-06

BBC Radio 4 FM broadcast > Pioneer tuner > Aiwa 250M > TDK AD-C90 cassette master >
Cassette playback on Pioneer CT-S550S with azimuth correction >
Sony JE530 A/D (44.1k) > Nomad JB3 > .wav > Adobe Audition > .wav >
CDWAV > FLAC frontend > .flac file

Editing in Adobe Audition:
* Multiplied samples by 180%
* Fades at start & end.
* Fades to separate introduction from interview segment (there is an abrupt pause/cut on the master tape)
* Fades to truncate officially released material (portion of Sibelius 5th Symphony by Berlin Philharmoic conducted
by Herbert von Karajan)

Note: The Sony JE530 is a minidisc recorder, however
a pure digital output is available when using it as a
"passthrough" device. Therefore, despite the presence
of a minidisc device in this lineage there is no MD/
ATRAC compression.

1. Introduction
