Notes:
- excellent, complete audience recording
- the taper notes there is a tape flip at about the 46 minute mark of set 1 (about 9:40 of Aida)
- second of two consecutive nights at this venue

Lineage:
Realistic R75 electret condenser stereo mic > Sony TC158 (Dolby off) > Maxell XLI master cassette > soundforge 4.5 (WAV) > FLAC > Dime

Recorded from the front row of the balcony close to dead center of the stage, and the back of the room, so there's not much crowd noise.

Revision A: Dime > wav-edits > flac(lvl8) > Dime
- removed clicks and pops
- eliminated or minimized mic impacts
- attenuated close applause
- gain normalized and tracked

Thanks and praises to the taper/seeder -- well done Glasnost!

This reseed uploaded at the request of the taper.

comments:
After his run at Kix in June 81, Miles Davis' next Boston
stops were 2 shows at the Bradford (he also did 2 more there
in April '82). This is the second of the 2 Nov. 81 shows (the
other was Nov. 3rd) and my 1st Miles Davis master recording.
(I wish that had come about 12 years sooner, but better late than
never). This was my 1st time at the Bradford Ballroom, I was in front
row balcony and everything comes through surprisingly clearly even
though I was in the back of the room because there was no obstruction
of the mike to the stage. (their balcony is set up much like Symphony
Hall, only a few rows deep and goes all the way around the room)
The only band members (other than Miles) I know by name are Mike
Stern on guitar (he's from Boston area) and he played well in
this show, and Al Foster is the drummer. As for tunes, this was
the Man with the Horn tour, and the songs all run together (it has to,
this is a Miles Davis show, after all) so I just made 1 track for each
set (there were 2) the 1st one is about 51 min. (with inconspicuous tape
flip 45 min. in during percussion solo), the second about 35 min. A very
listenable recording and a good performance of the 1981 edition Miles band.
I was going to throw his S.N.L. 1981 performance in here as a bonus,
but I've had very bad luck posting anything from that show (alot of it is
officially released) so this is just the Boston concert.

Do not sell this recording. Trade freely and losslessly.
