Known flaws:
-Candyman cuts in at the second verse, "with your hair
a-hangin down."
-High Time is listed in Deadbase and at the end of I Know You Rider
they start to go into High Time but the AUD tape cuts after one second.
After the splice Good Lovin' starts. It's conceivable that they didn't
actually go on to play High Time. (From Deadlists)
-And We Bid You Goodnight encore is missing.
------------------------------------------------------------

From Deadlists:

COMMENTS: The timings represent a composite of the SBD and AUD tapes. The
SBD contains Schoolgirl and Cumberland through Feedback. The AUD master is
excellent and often mislabeled "SBD;" the circulating copy contains
Schoolgirl through Deep Elem and Uncle John through Feedback.
There are partial selections and multiple sequences of the AUD tape in
circulation, often mislabeled "SBD," and there are also parts of the 4/9/70
SBD in circulation mislabeled "4/12/70." The list given above follows the
2-CD composite tape of the AUD with the SBD reels that was assembled and put
into circulation by Nathan Wolfson and David Gans.
The Bill Graham Intro of Schoolgirl goes "If the Dead End Kids were alive
today, they would be called "The Grateful Dead." Jerry sings only the
first two stanzas of China Cat before jumping off into the jam.
At the end of I Know You Rider they start to go into High Time but the AUD
tape cuts after 1 second. After the splice Good Lovin' starts. It's
conceivable that they didn't actually go on to play High Time. There is a
Tighten Up jam starting around 4 minutes into Dancin.
This is all one long set. Candyman, Deep Elem, Cumberland Blues, Dire Wolf,
Black Peter, and Uncle John's Band are all played with electric instruments,
not acoustic.

The AUD tape of Candyman cuts in at the second verse, "with your hair
a-hangin down."

Cary Wolfson attended this show and remembers the Dead coming back out to do
the We Bid You Goodnight encore.

Flac encoding notes:
All processing with Trader's Little Helper
Shn - st5 generated
Shn > Flac ( level 8 )
Flac - st5 generated and matched to Shn st5

Tagging notes:
Show information is embedded within the header of each flac file.
It will display on any player capable of directly playing flac
files. If converted to wav during processing, all tags will be
stripped, however audio data will remain unaffected. If you must
transcode to a lossy format, do so directly Flac > Lossy.
Use st5 to validate audio integrity.
Md5 values will change if tagging is altered.

Notes:

From original text file by Milesian June 2005:

"Technical Note: During the transfer from DAT to hard drive the source DAT snapped. The portion remaining after the break was then copied to hard drive and 1:58 from the Miles Trees source was spliced in to complete the recording. Channels were swapped and pitch adjusted on the Miles Trees portion to minimize differences in acoustic character."

- d1t02: ~5:39 rch pinned / lch some minor high freq noise, ~9:48 rch pinned / lch some minor high freq noise

- d1t05: from ~9:12 thru ~9:41 ~ 16khz carrier appears (not audible)

- d1t07 ~ 0:02 rch pnned / lch some minor high freq noise

- d1t08: ~0:14 two closely spaced discontinuites (maybe a few samples are missing); ~2:08 rch pinned for .2 seconds, lch some high freq noise; ~5:51 brief rch pop/glitch; 9:52 thru ~ 11:53 "hiss" level rises

General comments about source quality:

- source audio signal insigificant above 8kHz,

- hiss level unobtrusive compared to LMPP215

- Poster billed band as "Miles Davis Quintet" though 6 musicians performed

- "Credit to Peter Losin, http://www.plosin.com/"; for lineup information

- QC done by mfv
