A RENDEL RECORDING
---

Rec. Info:
Okm2R -> Zoom H2n (@ WAV 16/44) -> Memory card -> HD -> WETRANSFER -> my HD -> Audacity (edit/volume boost/balance only) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> FLAC -> DIME -> YOUR EARS AND MIND...
Recorded by friend and taper brother RENDEL @ first row almost dead center. Very fine recording with just a few chatters here and there, but nothing that would distract the music.
As usual on "Main Stage" at Burg Herzberg, the drums are pitched way too much up in the mix. Sorry, no pics from this show...

Spacey's notes...

The Mountain called again...and am I that stupid not to hear it? No.
Once again it was a gorgeous five days up on that hills in north easter Hessen filled with pure joy and fun. And even the weather couldn't resist to show its nice face
(yes, except for friday), but it all went very smoothly and fine. Thanks to the crew at BurgHerzbergFestival for making that possible. Almost a week "outside the society",
but as "WE" made our own society there, no violence, no rascim, no hate, no religious madness, no straight capitalism was found there and will never grow their roots up on
the "Holy Mountain". This year marked my 20th visit and I'm still amazed...or even...each year more...
My deepest thanks straight from the heart are to my crew at the campground and my dear fellow DIME tapers as there were...
Lars from Oslo, Martin from Bochum, Wolly from Kevelaer, Olaf and Eddie from Hannover, my bro' Martin + Martina, Klaus from Dortmund, Thomas and Manuela, Volker and Evelyn from Mannheim,
Maggie from Duesseldorf and my TAPERHEARTBROTHERS...Rendel, Propylaen, Krautbeard and HarrieTheFox...and all I forgot...except for the Horst...
It was a real pleasure...

Some Statistics:

Attendence: 12.000+
Ticket price: In advanve 90 Euros
Catering: A lot of food booths with tasty food, also a lot of vegan. Very nice prices. Good smoke, too.
Drinks: Beer tents, Cocktail bars, Winerys...all you could have. Very nice prices, too.
Loos: Refreshed at least twice a day. And there were many. Fine.
Music: I considered this before as the worst lineup in 20 years there, but there were some fine acts, too.
Security: I think...very low...didn't see any police or customs at all. Super!
Wellness: Showers, Massages, Mindaltering services (not included in the ticket). Great!

But now let's get the "tape" rolling...

Superb show by one of the last true Woodstock legends, scottish guitarslinger par excellence, Miller Anderson. He has performed at the Holy Mountain several times as a sideman to
Hamburg Bluesband, Pete York's Allstars and as member of the Burg Herzberg Allstars over the years, but I can't remember seeing him there with his own band which consisted of three
very talented german players. Lots of clasics from the KEEF HARTLEY BAND's debut album, some original songs, a heartwrenching Deep Purple song and...mighty suprise..an unexpected take
on David Crosby's "Ohio", probably played in "honor" to the upcoming election in the US of A. Hope you'll enjoy this as much as we did/do. SB.
