The artist:
I think, Mitch Ryder has not to be introduced very long. He is a blueser, he is a shouter, he is a legend. First he gained some fame in the sixites with his Detroit-Wheels. But he became really well known through his legendary concert on Rockpalast in 1979, which was broadcast all over Europe. This concert was legendary, for example because
he was drunk and did embarrassing his interview partner Alan Bangs by not answering his question and saying instead "Have you ever seen two dogs f***ing in the street?". Later on I read somewhere his band was very angry on him and there were very bad vibrations before their show ... but they did a superb powerful performance and everybody was talking of Mitch Ryder after that.
At the Sinkkasten gig he was not drunken and in a very good mood. He talked a lot between the songs, for example of his divorce and his beloved dog "Buddy". The concert was very good and I am proud to have had the opportunity to see him live on stage. Enjoy!
