Misc. 1966 live

First it should be noted that no live Moby Grape from 1966 has ever been released. The Sony-Columbia Legacy CD set has 3 live tracks on it but they were all recorded in 1968.

Notes: The sound quality isn't ever beyond very good under the most lenient rating standards but if you want very early Moby Grape, I think you will find these rewarding. Please check the samples to get an idea for yourself how they sound.

I think it's the best available copies of these rare recordings, though I'd love to be proven wrong about that! In any case, a lot of the rougher edges have been smoothed out. The were cuts during the applause between almost all every song of the first '66 set. Fades and short pauses were added where appropriate and most of the many level changes and minor dropouts throughout have been removed seamlessly.

Transfer: Teac X-1000R > Macintosh with DigiDesign AudioMedia III card > Pro Tools (minor "nip and tuck" edits, normalization and tracking - No EQ or noise reduction) > AIFF > xACT (FLAC level 8 files with sector boundaries verified). md5 file created with checkSUM+.
