Moby Grape
The Orphanage, San Francisco
1973-XX-XX

I received this show from my friend and fellow Grape freak, Steve Sorin, in 2006. Steve passed away, from a few years bout with cancer, just a few hours ago.

Naturally, he is on my mind! Steve was my longest online friendship I had. We known each other since 1998. Although we never met, we did tons of email and a few phonecalls. Steve and I had a lot in common with musical tastes, but there was something more. He taught me a lot about life, how to be grateful for everything, how to pay it forward, education on non-profits and grassroots business. Way more than just 2 fellows swapping music.

About the music. To anyone that likes Moby Grape, then you should be very aware of the efforts of him. He managed to pry lots of Moby Grape & related that was prev. hidden, to our public ears. This can't be understated!! What I did for Quicksilver, he did for Grape! There isn't really much to say at this time. I am still in semi shock.

This show comes directly from his FLACs. I just split "Omaha" and "Goin' Down" into separtate tracks, but NOTHING else directly to them. They are just as he made them. I am still too broken up even think of editing his hard work.

I did do merged the 2 discs into 1, retitled the names for better listening, and added MD5 & FFPs. I also tried to clean up the setlist the best I could, but it wasn't very successful, as a huge lack of information about this era of Moby Grape.

Bless you, Steve. Thank you for everything, my friend.
