A bit of History about the Festival:
Back 1993 dear Klaus and some other rockmusic lovers from the small town of Beelen (between Münster and Bielefeld)
decided to set up a small festival with app. 300 people in attendance. Due to the charitable charaktre, the - then and still -
conservative local government could nothing but accept. What a treat it was, back in the days of musical wastelands.
As far as I remember, Alex Oriental Experience headlined the festival, but hell, that could've been 1994 as well.
Due to the success and the peaceful atmosphere, the event went on to a regular yearly base. I didn't attend many of the
following editions, mostly because Burg Herzberg Festival was held on the same weekend. And the music changed more into "teenage music"
with MTV bands playing. Luckily the organizers decided to move the festival on a "week later" slot, so it was just a quick turnover after Holy Mountain.
Also, the musical character of the event changed to more PsychRock, StonerRock, SpaceRock acts.
As the years rolled by, KRACH AM BACH grown up to a great outdoor event as one of the major three Stoner festivals besides Freak Valley and
Stoned from the Underground. Om Germany, of course. In contrast to the other two great festivals, KRACH tends to a more diverse sound, like Kraut, JazzPunk,
PsychProg or whatever you want to listen to. One thing for sure: You'll never get bored not a single moment...
Long live KRACH AM BACH, thanks to Klaus and Christian (and Volker!) for support and taping permission.
Thanks to Rackhir for help and support, sure as the "bigger than norwegian mountains" thanks to Markus.
Thanks to the crew and the sound/lightshow artists. Very good sound this year!
And to all the volunteers who helped to make this one happening
From heart to heart, Spacey.
And now...let the music do the talking. MADE LOUD TO PLAY LOUD!
