A LARS M RECORDING
NORWEGIAN QUALITY TAPING
***************************

Rec.Info:
Audio Reality custombuilt stealth mics -> Olympus LS-14 (@ WAV 16/44) -> SDcard -> HD -> WeTransfer -> my HD -> Audacity (edit/remaster) -> WAV 16/44 -> TLH8 -> FLAC -> YOUR EARS AND MIND...
Recorded by dear friend and taper genius Lars from 5-6 meters on the floor. Not the best choice as there are the usual chatters here and there, loud clapping all all that shit you don't need to get
a proper recording. Anyway, a few "years" into the remastering process there was a significant move towards a better listening. Channels were balanced, peaks smoothed, clappers removed/or smmothed
if possible, mid and lower range added in favour of the high end and on-and-on-and-on...Still this recordings needs a bit of depth, grounding or else. Anyway, I think it's a good listening of another
magical MP night. A few pics are added, sure the setlist scan (the new sport for elder rock fans...get the setlist sheet of your favourite band (wish me luck soon!)).

Spacey's notes:
The final of the trifecta of shows, a few days before the start of the continental european spring tour. What's interesting found here? Following a solid start "The crucible" makes its return to the setlist,
having a bit overplayed on the last tour, but is now on the background of war in Ukraine even more appropriazte and frightening. Another "Cloudwalker" is followed by the - at least to me - forgettable "Like chrome"
until "LLM" brings us back into full psychedelic weirdness. "Lacuna sunrise" is the welcomed breather, not as spectecular as the Leipzig 2017 version, but it's nice to see that back, maybe alternating with "A Pacific sonata"
which holds a similar mood. Following the "United debased" the real magic starts...We're in for a full 40+ minutes of pure Motorpsycho bliss with the trifecta of "Star>Plan>Wheel", none of them close to an ultimative version,
but let alone the truth that these three good ol' concert warhorses still shine so bright is amazing. "Fools gold" is a bit short at 12 min. only, maybe curfew. Anyway, a fitting final.
To sum it up: All three shows were fine with some "Luft nach oben" (as we say in Germany), all three had their special moments (Bergen - Supistooge, Cornucopia, Stavanger - the @ set, and here the closing final).
Well done my dear ViKINGS of sound, see you in Hamburg next monday...SB
