This show hasn't turned up before 2004, and at that point perhaps as some kind of 30th anniversary gift from an extra-generous collecting soul. Thanks a mountainload to him - and to the taper (who might be the same person)!

Since there is still only one collector on etree who offers this show for trade, and it has not yet been uploaded here (or on any of the other torrent sites, to my knowledge), and it has not yet made its rounds in collecting circles, I think it will be a real nice and valuable addition to any Mountainatic's collection.

Shows from Mountain's Nov. 1973 to Dec. 1974 reunion used to be very scarce and there still are only a handful of shows around, though the band toured almost relentlessly throughout the whole year (and with virtually the same set, astonishingly).

This is one of the last shows Mountain with Perry still in the ranks; for their final tour which kicked off with a fantastic show at NYC's Radio City Music Hall on October 3, the band was finally condensed down to Lez favoured trio format. (BTW, I already torrented that show here on Dime in late 2009.)

This show comes with the typical and complete 1974 set but is perhaps a bit on the short side; usually their shows ra c. 85 min. No music is missing though, they obviously just decided to keep things brief on that night.

I've laways liked their 1973/1974 shows though I imagine most fans miss Steve Knight's typical keyboards and the songs they were havily featured in like "Silver Paper". I just wish they had not released the lame "Twin Peaks" in July 1974 but an album with their real reunion line-up which could have done them justice. Their studio "Avalanche" didn't do anything on the charts but I really don't find it any bad, it just suffers from a somewhat strange production, IMHO. Lez' guitar and Felix' vocals sound strangely compressed (for the lack of a more appropriate word). Too bad also they seem to have never played "Sister Justice" on stage, as THAT is one of my all-time fave Mountain tracks.

Uploaded to Dime in March 2011 by DocDondy with many thanks to the unknown taper who did a more than excellent job.

NOT FOR SALE! Trade & sharing only. Yes, that means especially you **again**, Sh*tyoda F*ckords – and likeminded crookleggers!

DO NOT spread a version of this upload if you fumbled on it, i.e. if you "remastered"/EQ'ed/doctored/tinkered on it, and DO NOT spread this show in lossy formats, either, OK? OK???? Thanks (well, we’ll see...).

Enjoy - and Mountain ahoy!
