MOUNTAIN
The Renfrew Ferry, Glasgow, UK.
November 8th 2002
This is not the same concert as used for the official release 'Official Live Mountain Bootleg Series Volume 13, Renfrew Ferry,
Glasgow February 26th 2005' which was different date, soundboard and the track list = 1. Blood of the Sun 2. Why I Sing The Blues
3. Theme For An Imaginary Western/Improvisation 4. Blowin' In The Wind 5. The Cell 6. Drum Solo - Mutant X 7. Sunshine of Your Love
8. Politician 9. Mississippi Queen 10. Never In My Life
Unknown generation cassette > CD-R (standalone deck) > EAC > Sound Forge > CD Wave (track split) > flac (level 8) > You
Complete gig I assume, just some audience noise lost between Crossroads and The Sea, and between Mutant X and Nantucket Sleighride.
As well as the usual cracles and pops there are some loud glitches at 3:59 and 6:12 of Why Dontcha; 1:34 and 5:19 of Theme For An
Imaginary Western; 6:05 of Crossroads; 0:10, 0:48, 3:04 (different noise) and 4:10 of The Sea; 3:38 of Drum Solo; 3:08 and 4:19 of
Mutant X; 6:21 and 7:08 of Nantucket Sleighride.
The recording suffers more from compression/bass distortion than some others I've posted lately - check the sample.
I received this on 2 sides of a cassette, the audio on the second side did not overlap the first.
Sound Forge was used to increase the volume and to remove the gaps between tape sides (you can hear the join at 8:06 of Crossroads)
and between Mutant X and Nantucket Sleighride (at 5:39 of Mutant X but I don't think you can hear the join), where
I suspect a MiniDisc was changed.
Although I have had to state "Unknown generation cassette" I am pretty sure my cassette is a 1st gen. from the master MiniDisc.
