Excellent audience recording

**mp3 samples provided (as always) in the Comments section**

I'll admit I had never heard of Murali Coryell before I received this show from fellow DIME member imageman2005. As it turns out, he's the son of famed jazz guitarist Larry Coryell (who I did know). But this guy doesn't play jazz; instead, he plays a nice mix of blues, R&B and soul. I was pleasantly surprised at how GOOD this show is. Perhaps you will be as well. Give it a shot--it won't cost you anything!

The first 11 songs of this show are original songs, and the last 4 songs are covers. Judging from the plentiful between-song banter, it seemed like Murali was having a really good time with the audience at The Tin Angel. And of course, the performance is DYNAMITE. Check the mp3 samples I've provided and see if you agree.

Here's some more info (per http://www.muralicoryell.com/home.html):
"On the new CD “Sugar Lips”, Murali Coryell shines alongside featured guest artists blues master Joe Louis Walker and jazz guitar legend and father Larry Coryell. With his James Taylor meets Marvin Gaye type vocals and his Jimi Hendrix meets Eric Clapton like guitar playing, Murali continues to expand contemporary blues with 12 new songs. Recorded in Nashville, the unexpected loss of Murali’s mother was the genesis for the new CD “Sugar Lips” produced by Tom Hambridge who brings out the best in the all-star cast."

Lineage:
Edirol R-09 (with Sony mic ecm cs10) > WAV > Audacity (volume reduction) > CD Wave (for tracking) > Nero wave editor (fades on first and last tracks) > FLAC FrontEnd (SB-aligned) > FLAC

Editing:
* The volume in the right channel was excessive (i.e., playing past peak volume), so I lowered the right channel volume by 3.0 dB for the entire show. In addition, I decreased the right channel volume by an additional 2.0 dB during the guitar solo in track 109 (from the 4:10 mark to the 4:24 mark)--it needed it. No adjustments were made to the left channel volume.

* As mentioned earlier, there's a bit of between-song banter throughout the show. However, in order to keep things fairly simple, I decided to break out separate "banter" tracks for only the most significant between-song breaks (those which lasted a couple minutes).
