Excellant 16 bit audience recording

Murali Coryelli stands on his own two feet, coming from a family of
musicians including legendary jazz fusionist Larry Coryell Murali was
destined to become a musician, growing up with the likes of Jimi Hendrix,
Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan hanging around the house surely this
must of had a tremendous influence on young Murali who eventually realized
he wanted to be a blues guitarist but wanted to find his own style doing so.
Quite obvious when you listen to Murali sing and play he pays tribute to the
many blues and soul artists that came before him like Sam Cooke or Al Green
and Marvin Gaye, with guitarwork that covers all of the masters from B.B.King
to Jimi, what you get is a very unique musician who can sing as great as he
play's guitar.

Murali has played with many of the greats, starting out with the Duke Robillard
touring band he was quickly picked up to record his own solo album and now has
several under his belt also contributing to other artists on tour, especially
touring with Joe Louis Walker around the greater New York area.

His recent release " Sugar Lips " has garnered much praise among music critics.

This was my first time seeing Murali play, i had heard much good things about him
so i was looking forward to see him play. Also on hand was Slam Allen who came to
hang out and watch the show but got roped into playing a couple songs to everyone's
delight and he killed it with some B.B.King flavored blues, also on hand was the
Dan Brother band who opened for Murali and Dan got called on stage to play quite a
few tunes, some nice interaction between these guys who play together frequently.

So it was another great night at Brian's Backyard BBQ & Blues, which is quickly
becoming the musicians favorite place to play in the New York area & beyond, always
great acts playing there with great food and service and a taper friendly environment.

Sweet recording and performances here!

If you don't know Murali Coryell and like soul flavored blues this guy is worth checking
out, frequently playing clubs in the greater New York area & worldwide.

Suport the artist by getting out to a live show and or buying officially released cd's etc.
