Tapers Notes

Neil Sedaka sold 40 million records in a five year period between 1958
and 1963. What happened iin 1963? The Beatles, and the American singer-
songwriter died. He continued to write songs for other artists, including
Connie Francis ("Stupid Cupid" and "Where the Boys Are"), the Monkeys,
the Fifth Dimension ("Working on a Groovy Thing") and Captain and Tenille
("Love Will Keep Us Together"). He went to solo hits in the 1970's including
the 1971 No. 1 hit, "Laughter in the Rain" and a 1975 remake of "Breaking Up
is Hard to Do" both of which reached No. 1 in the pop charts.

This is a rare appearance, as he doesn't tour much, and especiall interesting
since it is at the accoustical perfect Disney Hall in Los Angeles. This is
just Neil Sedaka and a piano.
