Despite the not brilliant sound quality, there's much to enjoy here.

I get the impression maybe Fleetwood Mac might have heard the entrancing acoustic arrangement of New Mama when writing Gold Dust Woman? Could be coincidence I guess...

Helpless features accordion and Hawaiian guitar, and there's some lovely country guitar on tracks like I Believe in You and Roll Another Number. I did think of including one of the other versions of the latter, but the version here had the best audio quality as well as a nice honky tonk piano sound, not particularly audible on the other recordings (none of these gigs are of a shiningly recording quality as I have alluded, but until a soundboard emerges, these are likely to be the best sources for now).

It's interesting that Neil mentions reggae and 'The Harder They Come' just before Human Highway, which is introduced a track he's recording with CSNY...when out driving I could hear the reggae influence in that song in my head!

Tweaks were made on some tracks...on others I gave up and left them 'as is', as some of the recordings are fairly basic so there's not much that can be done to them. The Manchester tracks, from the Speakin' Out CD, I decreased the speed by 2% as the other gigs seemed to have pretty consistent speed while this sounded slightly higher / faster.

The running order was assembled to roughly reflect the running order of the shows the songs were picked from. I deliberately left out some of the non-contemporaneous tracks if they did not differ vastly from the originals or other live renditions...as some (myself included) may find this a bit of a 'lo-fi' experience I've gone to lengths to only include the most 'relevant' to the tour concerned - i.e. the new and relatively new tracks, and of any older tracks used, ones where a slightly different approach was used.

This collects some great performances in listenable quality, so enjoy.
