My friend Pete (woot) kindly offered to drive my taping rig for this show. I had seats in the second row dead centre and wanted to enjoy myself. He made a great capture from his spot so many thanks again.

This torrent is a new transfer from the master tape. The only difference from the previously circulated version is that i have given it some EQ to further bring out Neil's vocal and guitar, plus I applied hard limiting to reduce some of the crowd clapping between some songs. I always thought the original version sounded really good and hopefully this now sounds even better.

This was a great show, I loved it, but unfortunately there wasn't a big crowd there to see it. The 12,000 seat venue was maybe only a quarter full and all the empty sections were curtained off. Several hundred people (maybe more) also walked out very upset during the Greendale set and missed the second set altogether. This may have been because the show was 'presented' by a local Brisbane 'oldies & goldies' radio station, 4KQ. They had been playing Heart of Gold on rotation and urging listeners to catch 'Neil Young of Harvest fame'. These people clearly had no idea about Greendale or what they were getting themselves into and simply walked out. The rest of us saw an amazing performance.

Some random memories: Neil sitting down at his pump organ for Bringin' Down Dinner and chastising a young roadie for forgetting to set a microphone up there and the encore songs being dedicated to the recently deceased Australian country music legend Slim Dusty.
