A quartet of established musicians -- Jay Farrar, Will Johnson, Anders Parker and Jim James -- were invited
to go through Woody Guthrie's notebooks and napkin scribblings to create new music from his unfinished songs.
We hear what they came up with when New Multitudes performs live on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am. (Chris Douridas guest hosts.)

WIKI:

New Multitudes is a 2012 Woody Guthrie tribute album performed by Jay Farrar, Will Johnson, Anders Parker, and Yim Yames
to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Guthrie's birth. The performers were chosen by Nora Guthrie to add instrumentation
to her father's lyrics. Specifically, his earliest songwriting years in Los Angeles.
