MY NOTES:

This was originally offered on shnflac.net in 2006. Many artist names were wrong and song titles were not included in the original info file. While researching this information, it struck me that folks on dimeadozen might welcome a chance to hear these fine performances. The sets are strong and some -- such as the Laura Nyro set -- will blow you away.

I performed extensive web research to see any of these tracks had been officially released. I employed search engines and I reviewed artists' discographies from a number of sources. I did not find any of these tracks to be officially released.

The one recording I did find that contains 1989 and 1990 Newport Folk Festival music is:

Red House Records RHR36 "Turn Of The Decade - Newport Folk Festival"

which does not contain any of the tracks in this torrent.

I checked the NAB and NAV lists -- the event and all artists appear to be acceptable on dimeadozen.

I corrected artist and song names as best I could. Further corrections are welcome, of course.

I searched the bot-dimeadozen-org archives -- I could not locate a previous offering of this festival here on dimeadozen.

My web research doesn't turn up exact dates for the 1989 festival -- can any of you help?

I didn't alter the FLAC files at all, so if you have this from shnflac.net you should be able to join me in seeding. Only the info files, checksum files and top-level folder name are different.
