Notes: This was our second post-pandemic show and the final show of the year for my wife and I; the show was postponed from February, so, it's been close to a year since we bought the tickets. We invited our neighbor to go with us, as much to help motivate us to actually attend as it was to share the experience with an early Pink Floyd novice.

Once again, other people chose to make the concert going experience a trying one - per usual, three rows in front of us, two jerks whom I'll call Mr. Clean and Dennis Hopper Jr. decided to be the only people on the entire lower level to stand. Multiple people approached them within moments of the concert start, asking them nicely to sit down, since they were both 6 feet or taller and were blocking the view for around 40 people. Nope, they weren't going to sit - sorry! So, within 2 songs, we had moved directly across the aisle from our original seats, as did everyone else seated behind them - there were literally rows of empty seats behind these people because they refused to receive the social queues. Finally by the start of Fearless, venue staff and security made these guys sit and the seats behind them filled in.

My wife and another lady were amongst the people to approach security. I was honestly dumbfounded - I, personally, would be embarrassed if it took multiple people to get me to sit down, especially if I was the only one standing! My neighbor thought they were trying to get someone to start something with them - certainly possible, but, Clean and Hopper Jr. were both at least 50 years old and should know better; 20 years ago, I likely would've happily obliged them. Fortunately, it straightened itself out pretty quickly - and, hats off to the venue security for handling it - but, these sorts of moments are pushing us to stop attending concerts - is this kind of shit really worth the aggravation?

As it turns out, it was - what a great show! Small changes to the setlist in a different order with quite a bit more banter added from the first time we saw them in 2019 gave this a fresh touch, especially since the newest song performed is from 50 years ago. It certainly helps that these are pretty great songs! Since I didn't see David Gilmour-era Pink Floyd or his solo tours, this was the first time we saw Echoes performed live - absolutely worth the price of admission. Fearless, Lucifer Sam and the Obscured by Clouds medley are holdovers from the last tour, but, are amongst my favorite PF songs. Candy and a Currant Bun was the only song I didn't immediately recognize, but, made for an interesting listen, but, seriously, this is a show not to miss.

My recording turned out a little hot - I was watching my levels pretty much the whole show, but, I didn't realize how close (and beyond) I was to redlining - as a result, I normalized the entire recording through Audacity, which helped minimize any distortion. All the same, this is a pretty decent capture, certainly on par with the '19 show I recorded.

Finally: please don't sell the recording, but, otherwise, do with it what you wish. Share it and trade it, and remember: these and other greats will not be around forever, so, let's enjoy them while we have them. Best wishes to all of the fans out there and Namaste.
