Ai confini tra Sardegna e Jazz 2009 :
Nicole Mitchell "Many Paths Meet The Sea: For Alice Coltrane"

recorded in Sant'Anna Arresi (Cagliari-Italy), Piazza del Nuraghe
on wednesday 26 August 2009

Nicole Mitchell, flute, compositions
Maia [Maia Hubert], harp, flute, voice
Greg Ward, alto sax
David Boykin, tenor sax
Robert Griffin, trumpet
Myra Melford, pianoforte, melodica
Renee Baker, violin
Tomeka Reid, cello
Josh Abrams, double bass
Marcus Evans, drums

this is part of a suite composed by Mitchell for the memory of Alice Coltrane, unfortunately not the whole of it was brodcast by italian radio, and apparently jazzrita did not record this night. Nicole is probably the most active AACM musician, and possibly my favourite, and this project is some of the most fluid she did, very much in the vein of Alice's works for Impulse (with a harp too! and the melodica in place of the wurlitzer) - of course, I am missing Pharoah's wilderness. Also included in the folder, marked as track 00, a radio introduction in ITALIAN with bio notes and commentaries - this intro runs for 4'46", you can skip downloading it if you don't understand italian.

note that due to disk space limitations, I will not be able to keep seeding this torrent for a long time - I will abandon the seed in a few days, maybe remove from HD these wav/flac files, and keep only my own CDR. Too many things to upload. In case of seeders going missing, enlist yourself as a leecher and some seeder will come back, and you are anyhow welcome to try and ask for additional torrenting...
FFP included - if uploaded on other trackers or reseed (and you are welcome to do both), please include original infofile. Also, if not satisfied with my offering, you are welcome to remaster/retrack/whatever and repost, but please always clearly state where/who did you have this material from and keep original infofile.
