A Doodee Music Master Recording

"If it's a DOODEE, you know it's the SHITŪ"
- Stripeydave 2008

The North Mississippi Allstars are a bit of a rarity in this day and age - a band deeply rooted in the vanishing musical tradition of hill country blues yet bold and skilled enough to put their own modern signiture on the genre making it something all their own. And God bless 'em for it. This set smokes from start to finish. On this one you get fresh takes on songs by Junior Kimbrough, RL Burnside and Jimi Hendrix (Luther absolutely kills on "Hear My Train A Comin') among others sprinkled in with excellent NMAS originals. Luther's work is great in the Black Crowes and his playing is stylistically different and just as wonderful in NMAS. Cody is incredibly versatile on a host of instruments and plays the best damn washboard you've ever seen. Chew is as good a bassman as you'll find and is literally larger than life onstage. Check the samples. Y'all enjoy!
