40th Annual Northwest Folklife Festival
May 27th, 2011 - May 30th, 2011
Seattle Center
Seattle, Washington, USA

General Notes:

~ Festival Website: http://www.nwfolklifefestival.org/
~ All photos courtesy yours truly. Feel free to do with them what you will.
~ More setlists than usual this year! ...Though still only about twenty-five percent of the total. In a few cases, I've included photos of indecipherable or extra-informative setlists. Setlist help for those acts not covered would be greatly appreciated!
~ Soundchecks not included in running times.
~ Lineage for all sets: HLSC (w/Windscreens) --> LS-10 (SDHC) --> Onboard Card-Reader --> CDWave --> FLAC Frontend. I did remember to remove windscreens for a few of the indoor sets; but can't recall which ones.
~ The usual Folklife warning applies: beware talkers, wind, aeroplanes, ambulances, nearby-venue bleed, and cetera; all of which may dampen one's enjoyment of the recording...although much less so this year that past years, it seems to me.

Notes:
~ Al's Novelty Sncopators set incomplete: arrived ten minutes or so into the set.
~ Negara set incomplete: set started earlier than scheduled time. Only missing one number, I think.
~ The Montlake Sea-Song Singers: are you fucking kidding me? An anti-whaling operetta written, performed, and partially composed by second- and third-graders? *With* costumes? Would've been better served in a venue with less ambient noise; even so, they knocked it out of the park!
