Hmmm...? One of these Pink Floyd Tributes at Köln outside The Kantine playing the Open Air Stage in the beergarden.
A band with the name "One Of These Pink Floyd Tributes"! What might they do as a kind of music? As it was for free, as it was one of the first concerts
after a long corona-pause, as the weather was fine - I decided to give this band a chance. Probably they would play some old Kinks-songs or something from
Miley Cyrus? He He.
O.k., folks: they played "The Wall" in its entirety and some other well known stuff on the encore. And they did it well. This was really enjoyable.
No airplane, no flying pig, no mother, no teacher, no round screen in the back, no childrens choir, even no white bricks - just the music.
Should have brought my Sparschwein with me - throwing it on stage.
Or my authentic Gefängnis-Stein (prison-stone) from the prison around my corner here I once grabbed when they teared it down years ago.

The band mostly was an eight-piece-band, sometimes with a saxophone-player or an oboe-player.

I knew every song, could sing along with all, but -fortunately! - I didn't. Sometimes it was a bit too much of that pathetic stuff Roger once wrote. But
it's Pink Floyd - the holy holy Pink Floyd - so no critics are allowed.
Or? Did I mention that I once saw the first show of their "Animals" - tour way back in 1977 - sitting in the second row right in front of the stage
and nearly felt asleep?
Later - same city, same venue - I witnessed "The Wall" which was much better with all the visual effects and the films and so on. Even the pig was a
better one. (The best pig they had was in 1987 as it was a boar with hairy eggs - örkkksss!!)
But times are changing and as the years passed I did not listen to PF anymore. And thought "Why not give this band here a chance?" Did I mention that this was really enjoyable?
