Polly Jean Harvey and John Parish
Dance Hall At Louse Point
Performed with The Marc Bruce Dance Company
At The Playhouse Newcastle 17th Feb 1997
Sony TC-D3>Sony TC-K611S>Nero Wave Edit>FLAC
Audience recording - Very good quality
Polly Jean and the band stood on stage towards one side, while the dancers performed beside, and sometimes inbetween them.
There are some interesting cover versions, Eno, Peggy Lee, Beefheart (?), in addition to her own stuff.
Unusual ambience, with complete silence between songs - it was a ballet after all!
The band included JOhn Parish on guitar and keyboard, Eric Drew Feldman on keyboards and accordion, and (I thinK) Mark Ribot on guitar
- the band was never introduced - so I don't know who the drummer was.
