This is something dating back here to when I first got involved with DIME. If the dimebot archive is correct, NightDreamer's share of this represents the only time this has appeared here. It's hard to believe that because it's a truly great sounding document of a short set from the PMG at the tale end of extensive touring that year of the Speaking of Now album. According to Marc Morvan's PMDB, they only had one show after this that year, and that was Mexico City on November 27th. I do recall seeing this on PBS's Austin City Limits at the time of the broadcast, and thankfully, the crew involved in NightDreamer's lineage (shown above) did a great job of extracting the audio from the broadcast.
This was another disc that popped up on my shelf full of "forgotten" cd-r's, where it sat right next to the recently shared Metheny-Mick Goodrick Duo show that actually dated to a little over a week after this Austin, TX appearance. Having found both, it seemed like a good time to bring them both here, and hopefully get things warmed up for some hoped for shares of the current Side Eye III shows now being played in 2026. The only new thing done to this was to take out about a 10 second introduction before Proof began, and to more accurately bring in a couple of other songs at the point when the music started. Many thanks to those who's gotten this 2002 show ready to go here when it was shared 20 years ago, and here's hoping that those who might grab this now as something new to them might extend kind thoughts back to those who were initially responsible for bringing it here.
