The final PNE Summer Night Concert of 2022. Double bill with Chaka Khan performing first followed by Patti LaBelle.
The changeover time between bands was very long and I was beginning to think Patti would cancel as the minutes neared closer and closer to the curfew.

This was a tricky recording. Patti still uses wedges as do some of the band members. I was there for their brief 2 song soundcheck and ironed out the best approach given the circumstances. After re-working and re-mixing all the different captures it sounds ok I guess. Patti's voice sounded excellent for a 78 year old.
