Notes:

For Those Of You Who Enjoyed The Brussels Show That Followed Four Days After This One That Was Upped Last Month, I Hate To Remind You That You Were Dining On Some Sub-Par Sound Quality Stuff There. Wait Until You Feast On This One From The Stonecutter Archives, From 39 Years Ago Today.

The Mics On This Pick Up Jay Dee Extremely Well, Guessing It Was Probably Some Shotguns Aimed At The Pa Stacks Since The Stadthalle Has A Capacity Of 3,000 And There Is Only The Faintest Of Audience Noise On This.

At Times, There Is Some Distortion From The Mics Being In Too Close Promixity To The Stacks ("Gloria," For Example), But It Was Still A Major Upgrade Over My 4Th Gen Copy Which Was Speed-Corrected At The Time, Put Into Storage, Never Listened To, And Now A Tosser. We Haven't Been Able To Confirm, But The Source Tape For This Version Was Most Likely The Master Put On Dat. We Do Know The Stonecutter Cassette Was Laid Down Directly From The Dat.

Digitizing This Presented The Opportunity To Reassess This Performance -- This Is Without Doubt My Absolute Favorite Rediscovered '78 Psg Show, And Probably One Of The Best Audience Recordings To Come Out Of The Psg Era. Flaws In This Near Pristine Recording Would Be The One Painful Cut In "We Three" And Another Less Intrusive One During "Radio Ethiopia." There Are Two Wavers In Speed, Both Minor: One At The Start Of "25Th Floor" And Another In "Land."

You Also Get Some Classic Patti Snipes With The Audience Here, Such As "Don't You Throw No Shit At Me, You Throw Anything At Me You Get My Foot Through Your Face. You Got Something For Me, Roll It On Nice." "Radio Ethiopia" Goes Into Its Improv Passage With Bass Lines From "Whole Lotta Love" And "Day Tripper." "My Generation" Is Bookended By "Rock N Roll Nigger," The Former Spoken, And Following The Shoutouts To The Town They Play In As The Group Were Wont To Do On This Tour, Surfaces In The Latter Form As A Rare Piano Coda. Absolutely Triumphant And Transcendental -- You Want This One, And That's Coming From Someone Who Tries Not To Hype These Uploads.

And Of Course, After The Hard Work Of All Involved With This And The Other Gems, A Pox On Anyone Spreading This Around In Lossy Mp3 Or Selling It.

Please Enjoy This In All Its Low-Gen Lossless Glory,
Elegymart
