Paul Butterfield Blues Band

Fillmore West, 9-30-66 & 10-14-66

Source: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=92774 (SBD)

Editing:
Cross-mixed channel (64:36), improves phasey sound, instrument clarity & noise
Fixed L/R channel balance
Fixed small glitches in the transition between last 2 tracks
Smoothed out all track transitions
Removed long periods of tuning
Removed 'Dropping out' which seems a different (poorer) recording
Now fits on a single CDR-80
Gentle 2db Nero noise reduction, but not enough to affect sound quality

Quality: Worth a solid A, especially for a 40-year old recording!
-----------------------------------------------------------------

When I grabbed this great post, I was struck by the recording quality, but the sound
was very 'phasey' and the mix / stereo balance was off, so I remixed this for my own
pleasure in similar fashion to my previous remix / upgrades and it has turned out
even better!

I did delete long periods of silence / tuning plus one track that really did not seem
to belong to the rest of the recordings, of which there are still actually 3 different
ones remaining (despite only 2 dates specified), plus there rest of the editing (above)
so it now fits on a single CD.

It is a remarkable historic recording which now absolutely shines and just begs to be
grabbed, so with the agreement of the previous poster (GregPeters)...

...Enjoy!!
