This a cracking show by Australia's best kept singer songwriter secret weapon. Paul Kelly has written some truly great songs ( check out My Winter Coat, All the Dumb Things, Big Things Grow on disc 2 ) and he's at his best live . This intimate show at the Gov is one of my favourites featuring a mix of some of his best old and new songs, acoustic, electric, dub , blues and country influenced. Theres a little bit of crowd noise, but I mitigated it by practically hanging over Kelly's monitor. so its generally a nice clean recording . If have never heard Paul kelly before I suggest you give this a go, he really grows on you.
Enjoy !
