Notes:
This is a nice recording off my master from the middle of Macca's "Off The Ground" US tour. I
think it was a better performance and setlist than some of the latter dates, where he lost
enthusiasm (the tour sold poorly) and he cut songs out of the set. I'm one of the 15 of
so people who think this was a really good tour, so I really enjoy this tape. It's one of the
better recordings I've heard from this tour; in the modern era of DAT/MD recordings, it still
holds up well.

This is somewhat of an STG exclusive -- I have traded analog copies of this show, but this is
my first digital transfer and I greatly enhanced the sound.

* This was recorded from 5th row directly in front of the left speaker stack. The majority
of the sound comes from this source; however, I was also close enough to catch off-mike comments
directly from the stage. I think that most of the vocals come from the stage monitors (they must
have been projected from an overhead PA that aimed over my head) because they're lower in the mix
than one would expect.
* There is some discernable "phasing" in a few points -- most notably in "Coming Up." I don't
really remember what was going on that was making me move so much. It settles down after a
couple of songs.
* I accidentally bumped the levels during "Another Day," and this song distorted badly until I
caught the mistake. I tried to level this out as much as possible, but you'll notice about 90
seconds where this song gets a little ragged.
* There is crowd noise as a function of being 25 feet from the stage, but it's pretty minimal.
* The CDs correspond to the tapes I used, which minimizes the jarring effect of tape flips. I
lost about 10 seconds of down time before "We Can Work It Out" which isn't really noticeable.

Enjoy the show!
