Notes: Recorded from section 116 row 1. I was by the front corner of the stage to Paul's right.
The PA stack was above me, but there were two small speaker cabinets in front of the stage about
15 feet awaythat were pointed towards me, so I got a nice clean sound. I didn't have anyone on either
side of me, and since there were a bunch of security guards within a few feet of me I couldn't really
check my levels very often. There's little to no crowd noise except for a dipshit a couple of rows
back that hoots and hollers between songs, but the cardioids do a nice job of minimizing the effect.
Also, you may notice during the first part of "Golden Slumbers" there's a bit of chatter between one
of Paul's camera guys and someone in the audience that he knows. And the little bit of a yell you hear
at the beginning of "Can't Buy Me Love" is the fan who was just onstage with his wife as he walked
by on his way back to their seats. Of the four times I've seen Paul this was by far the closest I've
been to the stage and, of course, absolutely loved it. It went by too fast. I'm still amazed that he
still puts on such a great show and performs at this high of a level and for nearly three hours.
And, yes, it's worth the price of admission. Go see Paul. Enjoy!
