Show Notes: Another amazing night with Sir Paul and band, again just under 3 hours of music, I really don't know how he does it! Five different songs in the set from night 1 which I was happy with. My only complaint about this show was the lack of energy the crowd gave compared to the first show - most people on the floor wanted to sit for the entire show which was a complete contrast to the previous night, and really bugged me. I stood until My Valentine, then given everyone else was sitting felt like I had to as well, so I had to sit in a very uncomfortable plastic chair with no room to sit fully in the chair as the lady to the left of me was spilling over her seat into mine, then my back was starting to hurt from the way I was forced to sit. The eager eared amongst you will hear me complain about how uncomfortable it is at one point, I couldn't help it.Finally at Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da I had enough and stood again - some others around me did, but most chose to remain seated like they were in church, and no doubt I blocked some views and probably was hated for it. How you can sit during a song like Back in the USSR is beyond me, but sit they did. For Let It Be the vast majority of the floor again decided to sit down, but given how uncomfortable the chairs were, I refused, so remained standing, and copped abuse for it (I edited most of it out as I regretfully directed the f-bomb at someone after copping abuse), but I had to leave the bit in where I tried to plead with people to stand as it went over the beginning of Live and Let Die (seriously you want to remain seated for *that* song?!?!?). Anyway aside from the bunch of people around me who may as well been home watching a DVD, it was an incredible show, and most likely the last time I'll ever see Sir Paul perform live. Thank you for providing the soundtrack to my life.
Recording Notes: While I may complain that the crowd around me was dead, it does make for a really good recording as there was really no singing along from anyone around me (me and my partner aside during Ob-La-Di and Hey Jude aside). Like my first night recording the audience singalong bits go muffled during those songs as I wanted to sing as loudly as I could, and I didn't want it to be all you could hear on the recording, so I moved the recorder away a bit. I also edited out about a minute during the encore break of me complaining to my partner about the guy who wanted me to sit down, you really don't need to hear that. So aside for all that, it sounds really good, maybe even a little better than my night 1 recording. Enjoy!
