The concert I had waited 25 years to see turned out to be the best concert I've ever attended. Of the 7-800 something concert I've seen, this is officially in the #1 spot on my list. I missed him in Oslo 24 years ago, when he toured with the Graceland band the first time - so to have him play in Bergen a warm summer night with an attentive audience was nothing short of magical.
In my opinion he easily could have skipped the rest of the set, and just played the Graceland songs. Especially the Simon & Garfunkel bit was just plain wrong. But all in all; what an artist. What a concert. What a night. And I got an ok recording of it. Some bumps and soundglitches when I had to turn to let people past, or they brushed against my microphones. Thankfully I stood next to calm, attentive people - and it was one of those rare occations when I haven't been annoyed at the people around me for disrespecting the artist. Too bad people had to run back and forth to get beer all the time, and I had to move to let them past. But that's an outside show for you, you can't control the environment.

Met up with a fellow taper for a nice chat afterwards, and if his recording is better this will get an upgrade.

Hope you'll enjoy the recording and please remember:
