::: Damn fine recordings. Check the samples to lower the fear factors or initiate proceedings.
::: WARTS: No real warts except the mono/stereo transitions.
::: Comparison clause: EXPANDED: Updates previous FM-only 2011 upload with new TV track & everything pitched & massaged.
::: NOTE: mono TV source band intro to FM stereo Bert's song intro & trax #2-4 & return to TV mono for #5.
::: The TV broadcast used the original set start band intro & spliced the "Bruton Town" encore onto it.
::: (*) DATE: The 18th Cambridge Folk Festival was July 30 to August 1st. Pentangle played both Saturday July 31st & Sunday August 1st, so this tape could be from either OR a bit of both!

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

Cool Sonics Series CS-075 ::: Thanks to the original tapers & traders. ::: Corrections welcome ::: Another one for Bert! The FINALLY re-formed original Pentangle debuted at the 1982 Cambridge Folk Festival, but sadly without Terry Cox, as he had broken his arm in a car accident. We only get 4 songs here (though it's probably about a third of their set), but Danny Thompson sounds great & like he's working hard to fill in for Terry! There must be some more complete audience tapes out there! This was one of the biggest moments in Pentangle history in many respects - the royal folk family returned to their thrones after a decade's absence. There is not much to be had from this vintage, especially of this quality, so sip & savor it like a fine wine. I ain't kidding!
