Here's another relatively recent show from an ongoing tour of parts of Europe by the Pete Roth Trio. The big selling point for many, of course, is that this is the ensemble in which Bill Bruford has emerged from at least a decade of retirement. There are shows in Italy as this is being prepped, and some in the UK before the end of the month, so there may be more to come. This show was in Vienna at Porgy and Bess, and this is the audio portion of that show. Some European based DIMEr's have alerted me to this, so many thanks to them.
This is the 5th show I've seen circulating from the Trio. The first had been something grabbed back in late March of this year. At this point, they're presumably more familiar with performing live shows with each other, and some "newer" material has entered the repertoire. Roth refers to that, and part of their process, in one of his stage announcements. Folks familiar with Bruford's past will still see some carry overs from his past via If Summer Had Its Ghosts and Original Sin.
This beautifully clean and clear audio was tracked in Audacity from single set 1 and set 2 files. Check the samples below to get an idea of what you'll be getting. Thanks again too to those who made this available prior to the share here.
