Melbourne -Town Hall, 2nd may-2010
Broetzmann and Bennink , performed to sets , opening/inaugurating the day long festival
Line up
Peter Broetzmann-reeds
Han Bennink-drums
what we have here are recordings from 2 different sources.
Set 1 tracks 1-3 , are an audio extraction from quater inch film...(analog source)
linneage - film camera- ---soundforge---computer---dvd---computer----wave lab(split files)---magix (eq)----tlh ----fLAC-6-----Dime
This was recorded by friends, thank you Chris & Bonnie, its unfortunately incomplete missing the encore... sound is -A
recorded from the balcony directly above the left of the stage.
set 2
tracks 1&2....(digital source)
Linneage
Zoom hd-------computer---magix(eq)---TLH----FLAC-6---Dime
this was the penultimate set (before the Embers Big Band, who played last , and which both Broetzmann & Bennink ,participated in).. this is the complete set, recorded by me
12 or so rows back , the hall was very reverberant , so the sound wasnt sensational.... this second set, i'd rate B, B+
certainly falls short of the analog sound ,from even a cheap film camera.
The whole thing Clocks in at just under 40 minutes.
Enjoy !!, Never SEll ...for free trade /sharing ,only
by the artists product!
cheers
