Tapers Notes:

This is straight ahead jazz.

If you like fusion, bebop, dixieland, jazz vocals, or smooth jazz, then run away.

There is no synthesizers, no syrupy soprano saxaphone, no blistering guitar licks, nor catchy repetitive
bass lines. This is straight ahead jazz, the way it was played in the mid-sixties on Verve and Blue Note.

I have to give this admonition because straight ahead jazz, like dixieland jazz, is a rarity these days.
Which is a shame because both genres gave birth to the current jazz we enjoy presently.

"Dear Lord, Thank you for making me a jazz musician." Harold Mabern, January 7, 2016

The true thanks go not to me, but to the taping community behind whose footsteps
I have followed, including those who have perfected the art of stealth recordings,
the makers of the stealthy mikes, cords, adapters, and preamps, and those who
have graciously shared their recording techniques.

I am merely a mike stand with a credit card and driver's license.

As always, I don't care what you do with these files, once you download
them--they are yours now, except these files are not for sale, free
trade only. You can thank me by uploading something of a similar genre
or trading with me, so I can.

Regards,

Scooter
