Guy Phil 1991 Chicago Blues Festival
This is a recording from the "Crossroads Stage" at the Chicago Blues festival. The recording drops a bit in volume after about 45 sec. The sun was shining but rain was falling during much of this set. The Horn section complains all through the show about not having any monitors. Phil Guy gave me permission to record the show and I was up close in the photo section. A Sony D-3 Cassette recorder with unknown mics. I guessed with some of the song titles. I would rate this as VG or VG-, not much crowd noise
This is a fun show. Proffesser Eddie Lusk opens the show, then Doug McDonald steps up and sings one. They then call out Melvina Allen who sings some dirty blues. (You should have seen what she was doing while she was singing:) She was followed by the great blues singer Andrew "Big Voice" Odom and of course Phil Guy. Enjoy the Show, Share but don't sell.

Phil Guy was one of the nicest people I met while in Chicago. I'm hoping this show will start a trend and anyone else who may have some Phil Guy will share.
