The songbird known as Phoebe Snow, gave a wonderful performance, backed by a highly talented band.
Not having done a soundcheck prior to the show, Snow jokes about having the stage mix adjusted while they play.
Snow played guitar on several songs while admitting she had carpal tunnel syndrome in her hands making it painful to play.
This concert ironically was the same day that Ella Fitzgerald passed away, thus Phoebe does her version of "At Last".
At the end of Track 06, Phoebe tells a story about when she met Ella Fitzgerald backstage in 1975.
Phoebe performs a Reggae/Gospel-ish version of CCR's "As Long As I Can See The Light".
Also a very unique version of John Lennon's "Across The Universe".
Larry DeBari attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, and was the guitarist with "Blood, Sweat and Tears" from 1990 to 1997.
Also playing with the group New York Rock and Soul Revue in the early 90's.
Larry DeBari had worked with Phoebe Snow since 1982.
This is a really nice recording.
